The base is located at the Tegalluar Train Depot’s joint maintenance section, which serves as the train operation and maintenance hub of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway. It is where maintenance and repairs are conducted for the 11 operational high speed trains used for passenger services on the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway, along with one comprehensive inspection and testing train.
At this base, Indonesian citizens can get hands-on experience with the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway trains and visit the train maintenance site. Moreover, the base features an exhibition hall covering nearly 200 square meters dedicated to the popularization of science and cultural exchanges. Within this hall, visitors can explore the technological achievements of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway trains through video presentations. Additionally, more than 40 Chinese train models, covering speeds from 60 kilometers per hour to 600 kilometers per hour, are on display. The exhibition also showcases high speed trains in virtual reality technology and interactive systems, works by Chinese high speed railway workers, and a selection of Chinese books, offering Indonesian citizens a platform for scientific knowledge and cultural exchange related to high speed railways that combines technology and humanistic elements.
