On September 10 at 17:00, a CRE Train carrying wheat from Kazakhstan arrived at the Alataw Pass and continued its journey to Xi’anguojigang Railway Station. To date, the two ports of Xinjiang’s railways have witnessed 10,017 passages of CRE Trains this year, marking a 10.1% year-on-year increase. Among these, Alataw Pass recorded 4,652 passages of CRE trains, showing a 9.2% increase, while Horgos Port saw 5,365 passages, reflecting a 10.8% increase.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. As the core asset of the Silk Road Economic Belt undergoes further development, Xinjiang’s advantages in westward opening up have led to the rapid convergence and flow of logistics, capital, and information.

An official from CR-Urumqi’s Foreign Cooperation Department stated that to meet the growing transportation demand, the railway sector has improved the efficiency of CRE train transportation. This year, they have designated 25 dedicated operational routes for CRE trains from cities such as Xi’an, Chengdu, and Chongqing, along with 14 operational routes for CRE trains heading toward Central Asia. These efforts have effectively ensured the efficient operation of CRE trains.
